Around 100,000 dogs are abandoned every year in the UK. The Pedigree® Adoption Drive™ was launched in 2008 to raise money for, and highlight the plight of these dogs. The campaign was hugely succesful and raised over £489,000 in the first year, which was in turn distributed to over 150 dog rescue charities across the UK.

Our campaign in 2009 was also a great success, again we made a donation for every pack we sold during the campaign and donated a further £563,000 which was distributed to over 140 UK Dog Rescue charities. So, in just 2 years our campaign has supported almost 300 dog rescue charities with over £1 million of funding. Thank you to all of our customers who have bought Pedigree and helped us help homeless dogs.

Pedigree believes that all dogs deserve to be part of a loving family. The Pedigree Adoption Drive aims to raise awareness of the wonderful work re-homing centres do, promote responsible dog ownership and raise awareness of the thousands of abandoned dogs looking for a loving home.
